How much experience does Aquent require?
We place professionals with all levels of experience, from junior to very senior. We’re most interested in your ability to immediately contribute to our clients’ success. Our clients most often seek seasoned marketers and creative and technical professionals with at least three to five years of relevant experience.
Do you charge candidates to register or work through Aquent?
Not a penny. You pay nothing to register or to find opportunities through us. When you’re on a project, we pay you by the hour and charge the client a fee for our services.
Do I have to accept every assignment you offer?
Absolutely not. We always strive to offer the opportunities you want most, but if you aren’t available or don’t want to take a project for any reason, that’s entirely up to you.
Who is my employer when I’m on an Aquent assignment?
Aquent is your employer. We issue your paycheck, cover all employer obligations, and conduct performance reviews.
Can I take my own consulting assignments while working for Aquent?
Yes. In fact, many marketing and creative professionals use Aquent to supplement their workflow between client engagements. That can really simplify your invoicing and bill collection process. Naturally, if we introduce you to one of our clients, you can’t contract with them directly; you can only work with them through Aquent.
What if a client wants to hire me permanently?
Usually, you’ll know when you start an assignment whether it is contract-only or contract-to-hire (which we call Talent Bridge). Aquent arranges all the details in advance. When you’re on a Talent Bridge assignment, you will work for a client on an hourly basis before making a permanent commitment. This gives you and the client the opportunity to make sure it’s a good fit.
